CHI 2021 - ACM CHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems
The annual ACM (Association of Computing Machinery) CHI (Computer Human Interaction) conference is typically organised by hundreds of volunteers (see blog post) including an organising committee of track and venue chairs, sub-committee chairs and associate chairs for the papers program, student volunteers, jury members, reviewers and many more. The ACM CHI Steering Committee is responsible for overseeing the running of the ACM CHI Conference series. The CHI conference is hosted by ACM SIGCHI, the Special Interest Group on Computer-Human Interaction which is managed by the SIGCHI Executive Committee. SIGCHI is one of many Special Interest Groups of the ACM, and by sponsoring CHI the ACM takes on the financial risk and the legal responsibility for the conference.

18th GI VR/AR Workshop at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences
The Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality (VR/AR) group in the Gesellschaft für Informatik e.V. (German Informatics Society) aims to advance scientific work in the field of Virtual and Augmented Reality and to support the exchange of information among scientists. The workshop, initiated by the GI-Group VR/AR 18 years ago, is an established platform for the exchange of information and ideas. Traditionally, interested parties from science and practice meet here once a year. The workshop offers the ideal framework to discuss current results and projects from research and development with an expert audience. Last but not least, the workshop is an ideal forum to establish and maintain contacts or to get an insight into current work on virtual and augmented reality in Germany.
IEEE International Symposium on Mixed and Augmented Reality (ISMAR21)
The IEEE ISMAR is the leading international academic conference in the fields of Augmented Reality and Mixed Reality. The symposium is organized and supported by the IEEE Computer Society, IEEE VGTC and ACM SIGGRAPH.. The first ISMAR conference was held in 2002 in Darmstadt, Germany. The creation of the conference emerged from the fusion of two former academic events dedicated to this research field: the International Symposium on Augmented Reality (ISAR) and the International Symposium on Mixed Reality (ISMR).
