Researchers‘ Night 2013 video footage
On September 27th, 2013, JVRB showed three interactive live broadcast shows within the scope of the researchers' night. The presentation illustrated markerless actor tracking for real-time interaction with cyborgs and avatars.
Improvement for authors to get credit for their work: ORCID Identifier now available in our article metadata
The JVRB publication system DiPP now supports two different persistent digital identifiers to distinguish authors: Besides the PND identification number lookup from the German GND-Database, the ORCID identifier has been added.
Free to distribute: SHERPA/RoMEO now listing JVRB’s copyright policy
The Journal of Virtual Reality and Broadcasting is now listed as ‘green’ publication in the RoMEO database of the SHERPA Services based at the University of Nottingham. The database summarizes publishers’ conditions with a colour-coded category system that indicates the authors’ rights.

Upcoming co-operations in 2015/2016
JVRB has closed publication agreements with two renowned international conferences: VRIC 2015 and VISIGRAPP for the years 2015 and 2016.

We are happy to welcome a new member of the Scientific Committee, Prof. Dr. Wendy van den Broeck from iMinds-SMIT.
New Affiliation and E-Mail-Address-Domain
First of all: JVRB did not migrate. The journal is still hosted by the same institution as before. But our team members affiliation has been renamed from 'Fachhochschule Düsseldorf' to 'Hochschule Düsseldorf, University of Applied Sciences'.

The guide addresses an international audience and encourages the use of more open licences for publications to support the exchange of knowledge and ideas.

Since February 29th, 2016, the Journal of Virtual Reality and Broadcasting has a new address.

The deadline for the JVRB Special Issue: Trackless virtual studio via actor reconstruction has been extended to May 17th, 2016.
Currently, about 20% of all authors that published in JVRB use ORCID.
ORCID provides a unique identifier for a researcher and is used to establish a connection between authors, their research activities, awards, other versions of the name and their affiliations.
JVRB applies DOIs to all published articles
All articles published in JVRB are now equipped with a DOI (digital object identifier).

The platform EasyChair now offers a new feature: SmartCFP. It provides a list of calls for papers for conferences hosted on EasyChair.
