In 2015, FMX celebrates its 20th anniversary. FMX 2015 continues to focus on digital entertainment, the convergence of film, television, computers, consoles and mobile devices, and the paradigm shift that has transformed the industry during the last years.
FMX, Conference on Animation, Effects, Games and Transmedia is a conference for digital entertainment where Art, Technology and Business meet. Every year, artists, specialists, scientists, producers and other key people come to FMX to network and to discuss production issues, exciting technologies and new ways of financing and distribution across the industries with an international audience. Experts deliver insightful presentations and Workshops as part of the Conference program, industry professionals introduce their hard - and software products as well as their latest R&D; innovations at the Marketplace, companies scout talent at the Recruiting Hub and international schools present their best projects on the School Campus.
FMX enjoys a long-standing partnership with the Festival of Animated Film Stuttgart (ITFS). Together they host the Animation Production Day (APD), a business platform for invited guests from the animation industry only. FMX is an event by Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg, organized by the Institute of Animation, Visual Effects and Digital Postproduction. It is an event in cooperation with VES Visual Effects Society, ACM SIGGRAPH, 5D Institute, and Eurographics. FMX is funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts and the Ministry for Finance and Economic Affairs of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg, the MFG Film Funding and the FFA German Federal Film Board. FMX 2015 takes place May 05-08 in Stuttgart, it's the 20th anniversary edition.
FMX' 20th anniversary edition takes place under the headline "Immersion & Virtual Realities - The Future of Content Viewing and Producing" and focuses on further topics such as:
