Everything about open licencing models "Open Content – A practical guide to using Creative Commons licences"
The guide addresses an international audience and encourages the use of more open licences for publications to support the exchange of knowledge and ideas.
New Affiliation and E-Mail-Address-Domain
First of all: JVRB did not migrate. The journal is still hosted by the same institution as before. But our team members affiliation has been renamed from 'Fachhochschule Düsseldorf' to 'Hochschule Düsseldorf, University of Applied Sciences'.

Nick Holliman joined JVRB’s Scientific Committee
We are happy to welcome a new member of the Scientific Committee, Prof. Nick Holliman from the department of Theatre, Film and Television at the University of York, UK.
Free to distribute: SHERPA/RoMEO now listing JVRB’s copyright policy
The Journal of Virtual Reality and Broadcasting is now listed as ‘green’ publication in the RoMEO database of the SHERPA Services based at the University of Nottingham. The database summarizes publishers’ conditions with a colour-coded category system that indicates the authors’ rights.
Improvement for authors to get credit for their work: ORCID Identifier now available in our article metadata
The JVRB publication system DiPP now supports two different persistent digital identifiers to distinguish authors: Besides the PND identification number lookup from the German GND-Database, the ORCID identifier has been added.
Videoaufzeichnungen von der Researchers‘ Night 2013
Im Rahmen der Researchers‘ Night am 27. September 2013 zeigte das Journal of Virtual Reality and Broadcasting drei interaktive Kinovorstellungen. Über einen Livestream in den Kinosaal „Black Box“ des Filmmuseums Düsseldorf wurde das markerlose Darstellertracking für Interaktionen, Cyborgs und Avatare den zahlreichen, interessierten Besuchern nähergebracht.

The deadline for the submission of full papers to CVRB 2013, the 1st International Conference on Virtual Reality and Broadcasting has been extended to April 30th, 2013.
