About the Symposium
The IEEE Symposium on 3D User Interfaces 2006 is the first international symposium focused on the topic of 3D UIs and will be held to trigger discussions among participants and to provide an intensive exchange between industrial and academic researchers working in various 3DUI research areas. The Symposium builds on and expands the scope of the workshop "New Directions in 3D User Interfaces" in March 2005 and the workshop "Beyond Wand and Glove Based Interaction" in March 2004. The symposium will last for a day and a half, and will be followed immediately by the IEEE VR conference. Ravin Balakrishnan (University of Toronto) will give a keynote address.
