About the Conference

The GC Developer Conference (GCDC) 2005 in Leipzig will host its first computer science track focusing on computer games. After last year’s tremendously successful "Academic Day", the expanded conference will focus on the exchange of ideas and solutions between game developers and the academic community. "Computer Science and Magic" is set to develop computer games as a professional and serious field of application for computer science research. It will provide a platform, fostering the synergy between computer scientists, game researchers, designers and developers. Topics include: Concepts, Methods, and Technologies; Academic Game Projects and Case Studies; Teaching Games and Games for Teaching.
