TeX-TemplateIf you are using LaTeX, you may download a template file containing formatting examples, an example for a bibTeX bibliography in the "amsalpha"-style, and DiPP-Licence text. You may reuse this template for creating your own manuscript. The template consists of a sample TeX-file, dummy-pictures and an example bibliography bib-file. The TeX-file uses standard packages and the "article" document-type.
The pdf-file generated from the TeX-template gives an impression of all formatting options mentioned. It is also useful for authors who wish to use typesetting systems other than TeX as a draft for their documents. TeX-related sourcesAuthors who have little experience with TeX or encounter TeX-related problems may find this section useful. It offers links to TeX-sources, -usergroups and -software. Resources and SupportTeX-User-GroupThe TeX Users Group (TUG) was founded in 1980 for educational and scientific purposes in order to provide an organization for those who have an interest in typography and font design, and are users of the TeX typesetting system invented by Donald Knuth. TUG is run by and for its members and represents the interests of TeX users worldwide. The Comprehensive TeX Archive Network (CTAN) presents the primary source for TeX-related software in the internet. www.tug.org MikTeXMikTeX is a TeX implementation for Windows operating Systems. It contains numerous utilities, macro packages, fonts and tools to be used with TeX-Files like LaTeX, PdfTeX or ConTeXt. In a first step MikTeX must be downloaded and may be installed from a repository folder in a second step. www.miktex.org TeXnicCenterTeXnicCenter is an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for creating TeX/LaTeX-documents on Microsoft Windows platforms. sourceforge.net/projects/texniccenter PackagesThe Hyperref-PackageFor the purpose of incorporating Open URL into the TeX-Document, authors make use of the hyperref package. Hyperref allows for creating hyperlink references to URLs that work from pdf, xml and xhtml files. Using hyperref, authors are able to create external links, as well as anchors to figures, tables, footnotes and sections. The use of hypertext is beneficial for electronic Journals, because it enables the author to relate relevant information easily. A detailed description of the usage of hyperref commands is available under www.tug.org/applications/hyperref/manual.html. |
